Maserati continues to expand its return to the world of indoor racing. After a successful 2024 season in the GT2 European Series, the Maserati GT2, derived from the MC20 supercar, is now available with a new "Endurance" package, which opens the way to participation in race formats of up to 24 hours. A rise to prominence that could well take the Trident brand into a new dimension on the racetrack.

A pack built to last

Unveiled to coincide with the launch of the 2025 GT2 European Series season, this new "Endurance Pack" transforms the GT2 into a true long-distance racing beast. The kit includes :

  • a long-range lighting system,
  • electroluminescent panels to display numbers on the doors,
  • additional sensors,
  • as well as a UV light kit for the passenger compartment.

This not only improves visibility during night races, but also enhanced efficiency during pit stops. The pack, made up of both lightweight and hard-wearing components, is available as an option on new GT2 models, or as a kit for models already on the road. A good way for teams to customize their configuration according to the needs of each race.

From speed... to endurance

Already homologated in the GT Cup category of the Italian Gran Turismo Sprint Championship, the Maserati GT2 has recently shone at European Ultimate Cup Series with the TFT Racing team. Engaged with drivers Patrick Charlaix and Jordan Boisson, the car took a series of podium finishes at Le Castellet, confirming the GT2's fine performance in sprint formats.

But with this new pack, a new milestone has been reached: participation in endurance events ranging from 4 to 24 hours is now possible. Maserati makes it clear: this development responds to the demands of teams and gentlemen drivers for performance and reliability in long races.

A strong presence in 2025

In the GT2 European Series, the Maserati GT2 will be on the starting grid again this season, with the TFT Racing, LP Racing and DINAMIC Motorsport teams. After winning the drivers' and teams' title in the Am category in 2024, Maserati and its customer teams are aiming for another successful season. The calendar will include Le Castellet, Zandvoort, Spa (24h), Misano, Valencia and Barcelona, all opportunities to see if the GT2 is as comfortable in the long run as it is in the sprint.

And that's not all: the car is now also eligible for the Italian GT Sprint Championship and other European series. Maserati seems determined to expand the territory of its GT2, which is becoming a veritable Swiss army knife for GT racing.

A bright future for this Maserati GT2

This development is part of the brand's global strategy, who wants to return to the forefront of competitions. For Maria Conti, head of Maserati Corse, this package is the logical continuation of a clear commitment to customers: to offer cars capable of shining everywhere, whatever the conditions or length of the race.

With this new Endurance Pack, the Maserati GT2 becomes a serious contender for the great endurance classics, with its sights set on races such as the 24 Hours of Spa, where it is expected at the end of June. Is it enough to dream of an even more ambitious return to the world's top championships?
