Maserati unveils a new version of its radical MCXTrema, inspired by the MC12

Maserati continues to unveil special editions of its most extreme track supercar, the MCXtrema. After presenting, in turn, configurations dedicated to customers British, French then switzerlandthe Trident brand today unveils a brand-new model, directly inspired by the legendary Maserati MC12. An obvious nod to the famous supercar of the 2000s, which made its mark with its racing success and iconic design.

The MCXtrema comes in a two-tone livery echoing the aesthetic codes of the MC12.The design is dominated by white, with touches of deep blue, including on the rear spoiler and on the wheels, which are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires. The large Trident adorns the front hood, emphasizing the direct link with its illustrious predecessor. More than a simple play on colors, this special version seeks to rekindle the passion of Maserati enthusiasts, while reminding them of the brand's glorious sporting past.

Under its carbon hood, the MCXtrema houses the "Nettuno" 3.0L twin-turbo V6 borrowed from the MC20, but boosted here to 730 hp. This record power makes the MCXtrema the fastest Maserati ever produced, surpassing even the already high performance of the production MC20. Combined with a weight of just 1,300 kg, this powertrain offers an exceptional power-to-weight ratio, guaranteeing outstanding sensations on the racetrack.

Not approved for road use and incompatible with official competitions, the MCXtrema targets a very specific clientele: "gentleman drivers" looking for a machine designed to be ridden freely on the track. The aerodynamically optimized bodywork, huge rear spoiler and multiple air intakes confirm this clearly track-oriented vocation.

All in all, Maserati plans to produce 62 examples of this MCXtrema, all of which have already been reserved. Each vehicle is configured in close collaboration with its owner, ensuring maximum exclusivity.
