YouTube channel Carwow once again treats us to an explosive drag race between four of today's most powerful SUVs. This time it's the supercharged behemoths: the Ferrari Purosangue, the Lamborghini Urus SE, the Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid GT and the Audi RSQ8 Performance. Hybrid twin-turbo V8s against a naturally-aspirated V12. A battle of the titans... that promises to be tighter than ever.
The forces at work
Before stepping on the gas pedal, let's take a look at the technical specifications:
Model | Power | Couple | Weight | 0 to 100 km/h | Price |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Ferrari Purosangue | 725 hp (V12 atmo) | 716 Nm | 2,150 kg | ~3,3s | 500 000 € |
Lamborghini Urus SE | 800 hp (twin-turbo V8 + electr.) | 950 Nm | 2,505 kg | ~3,3s | 270 000 € |
Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid GT | 739 hp (twin-turbo V8 + electr.) | 950 Nm | 2,495 kg | ~3,6s | 220 000 € |
Audi RSQ8 Performance | 640 hp (twin-turbo V8) | 850 Nm | 2,275 kg | ~3,8s | 190 000 € |
On paper, the Lamborghini Urus SE is the most powerful, but also the heaviest. The Ferrari Purosangue stands out for its atmospheric V12, the only one in the group, and above all, it's the lightest, but also the most expensive. Enough to make its rivals tremble?
And what does it look like on the track?
As is often the case in Carwow videos, not everything goes according to plan. Between gearbox problems and false starts, the drivers had to restart the race several times. But when it all comes together, the results are... astonishing.
👉 In the final drag race, here are the times in the 400-meter standing start:
- 🏆 Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid GT: 11.4 s
- 🥈 Lamborghini Urus SE: 11.5 s
- 🥉 Audi RSQ8 Performance: 11.5 s
- 🚩 Ferrari Purosangue: 11.6 s
Despite its status as an Italian thoroughbred and its legendary V12, the Ferrari finished last. A little more distance and the outcome might have been different. It will also be interesting to repeat the race si Ferrari launches Purosangue SUV with V6 hybrid.
Relaunch: the outsider surprises
When revving up to 80 km/h, the Audi RSQ8, despite being the least powerful, surprised everyone with its impressive responsiveness in comfort mode. Overall, hybrid SUVs take a long time to downshift, showing their limits in "normal" use.
In sport mode, the V12's revenge: the Ferrari literally takes off, leaving everyone in its wake. A demonstration of brute force, without electrical assistance. Just goes to show, the old world still has a lot left in it.

Verdict
If you're looking for pure efficiency, the Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid GT is the reference. The Audi, less expensive but formidably well-calibrated, is surprisingly consistent. The Lamborghini, powerful but too heavy, struggles to capitalize on its lead. And the Ferrari? It embodies passion, with a singing V12 and unique sensations...
So, are you banking on power, regularity, prestige or mechanical nobility?

The Cayenne Turbo and RSQ8 are just too ugly.
Who drives with a stopwatch in his hand to find out if such and such a car is 1/10th slower at 400 meters. The Ferrari Purosangue and its V12 are in a class of their own.
