Lamborghini SC63 takes on the 24h of Daytona challenge with 2 former F1 drivers

Lamborghini Squadra Corse enters the IMSA championship with its SC63 model. This weekend's 2025 edition of the prestigious 24 Hours of Daytona is therefore a historic moment for the brand, which will be battling it out against teams such as BMW, Porsche, Cadillac and Acura.

For this edition, Lamborghini relies on an exceptional quartet, including two well-known former F1 drivers: Romain Grosjean and Daniil Kvyatwho join Mirko Bortolotti and Edoardo Mortara for this campaign on the famous American track. Together, these experienced drivers form a team capable of competing with the best and aiming for a podium finish or even victory.

The two former F1 drivers, Grosjean and Kvyat, bring their elite motorsport know-how to the Lamborghini SC63. Grosjean, who has returned to the Lamborghini fold, led the battle brilliantly at Indianapolis in the rain, a terrain he masters to perfection. As for Kvyat, he brings with him his experience of the World Endurance Championship (WEC), and will continue to push the limits of the SC63 throughout the season.

The challenge is enormous: the 24h of Daytona represents the first stage of the IMSA Endurance Cup season, and Lamborghini Squadra Corse is ready to get fully involved, with drivers as competent and determined to defend the brand's reputation. It will also be a special race for Edoardo Mortarawho will bring his additional expertise to Daytona before concentrating on a GT3 season with Lamborghini.
