We are getting closer and closer to August 30, the date on which the new, very exclusive supercar fromAlfa Romeo will be presented. For the time being, information is coming in the form of rumours, the latest of which concerns its price... on a par with a Bugatti!
Philippe Imparato, director of the Italian brand, declared several months ago that the next Alfa Romeo supercar would be " very exciting, very exclusive and very expensive ".
And indeed, he can't be proved wrong. According to well-informed sources, thehe price of the new Alfa Romeo supercar is estimated at 1.4 million euros, and could even reach 2 million euros with certain options.. Add to that the ecological penalty...
Okay, the Bugatti comparison may be a bit exaggerated, as the latter costs just over 3 million. It's more like a Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2... In any case, this will be the most expensive new Alfa Romeo ever sold.
This price apparently didn't scare off potential customers privileged customers selected by the brand, since it is produced in a limited series of 33 units, they'd all be sold out by now! Why selected customers? Because Alfa Romeo reportedly turned down 90 %s from interested parties. It's a winning strategy!
Alfa Romeo will become a brand of 100 % electric cars in a few years' time, and it's a safe bet that many collectors are prepared to pay for the biscione brand's latest thermal supercar. For Alfa Romeo, these few models will represent at least 50 million euros in sales...
What we know (more or less)
- Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale or Alfa Romeo 6C
- Modified carbon chassis for the Maserati MC20
- The Maserati MC20's 3.0L V6 engine will deliver between 700 and 800 hp.
- Production to start in 2024 at the Modena plant where the MC20 is already assembled
- Price between 1.4 and 2 million euros
- Limited series of 33.
See you on August 30, 2023, folks! A new Alfa Romeo is always an event 🙂
Alfiste, if that's really the price, you have to justify it.
The Biscone is certainly a rarity, but it needs to be absolute, not 700 hp. Everyone does 700 hp, we need to boost the Maserati V6 with big turbochargers and why not an electric assist for a total of 1500 hp. But I'm dreaming.
Personally, I'd even have seen two V6s to make a V12.
Bugatti did it right with two Audi V8s.
Hi for your information on the Bugatti it is two Volkswagen engine and not audi on the r8 v 10 it is a lamborguini engine good day
There are two Volkswagen engines on the Bugatti, but on an Audi RS4 base to which 2 bi-turbo engines have been added, but these engines were first released in the top-of-the-range department, i.e. Audi (RS4-RS6).
And without Audi, the "people's car", as they say, would never have been able to produce such models. For example, we had to wait for a Phaeton to get a W12...
Audi had already released this engine long before, not to mention its RS4 2.7 V6 bi-turbo at the time, but it's true that these are basically VW engines.
Not quite, since the w16 is based on the VR6, which means no more two coupled engines. Nor do I agree with the rest, since the V10 tfsi used in Gallardo cars is a VAG design (which, at the time, caused an uproar among lambo fans, who considered that a lambo could only house a V12, which I don't think is wrong).
Yes, yes, yes.
You're all right.
Without Volkswagen, there would be no Gallardo, no Aventador, because the Lambo brand would no longer exist.
At the same time, VW is a brand used to cheating (not only on CO2 emissions...).
Porsche should have bought VW.
But VW bought Porsche in a costly and unsuccessful deal.
And at the time, it was Porsche's good health that revived VW.
Anyway...
These days, Skoda, Seat, VW, Audi, Bugatti, Lamborghini, lend each other parts by the hundreds from one model to the next, especially the parts that can't be seen.
And with all due respect to Audi fans, for example, more than 90% of the parts on an Audi A3 and its equivalent size-engine-equipment at Skoda are identical.
The differences are aesthetic, a little in the quality of the plastics and fabrics, a little in the "technologies" of the headlamps and dashboard.
In short, Alfa Romeo fans will have to make do with Stellantis' in-house tinkering. Future Alfa Romeos will be nothing more than mixtures of other brands, with their own exterior design (but which will have to be adapted to the skeleton of the copied car).
Bjr , a la base porche est le créateur de VW. They are of the same family Ferdinand Porche ...Audi which is a direct branch of this historical family.
A quick reminder: "On the occasion of the 2006 Paris Motor Show, Alfa Romeo announced the production of 500 examples of the 8C Competizione equipped with a 4.7-liter V8 engine developing 450 hp at 7,000 rpm and 470 N m of torque. The engine is the F 136 from the Maserati GranTurismo.
The original version is offered with a six-speed robotized gearbox that can be operated as an automatic1. The 8C is available in four colors: Alfa red, "Competizione" red, black or yellow."

Alfa Romeo Diva would fit her like a glove 👍
Alfa Romeo, the hated brand that everyone loves. It's always with great pleasure that I drive my Alfa
You're right viva alfa Romeo
When I don't roll my giulia for a day, I'm an orphan.
Yes, it's so true.
A member of my family summed it up very well: you change an Alfa for an Alfa, otherwise you lose enormously because it's unsaleable.
The problem with Alfa cars is that they're beautiful and great to drive, but they're just m....
I had a GT. Then a Peugeot, a BMW, then a GT again because I missed it.
Never an Alfa since. Because one day you have to grow up.
Even my uncle, after owning several 33s, then several 75s, then a 164, gave up Alfa for a Japanese pick-up and a BMW.
Everyone loves an Alfa, but no one wants to buy it from you, or 5000 below the market price. Makes you wonder how there is an argus for this brand.
First time I've heard that.
Except in France (and even less so now), you only have to look at how BMWs and other cars depreciate to see that they depreciate as quickly as the others. Question M.... Audi, Porsche, BMW, VAG, PSA, Mercedes and I'm sure a lot of them, especially with their staggering selling prices, and when you compare them to a Giulia or a Stelvio, it's even worse.
Are you talking about the GT? Well, I've got one with the 2.0 JTS which, for once, is a disappointment for Alfa and a disaster in terms of reliability, but with the V6, well, if you take a look at the competition in any country, what do you get?
Not much (apart from the ISF Lexus but with an auto gearbox), because it has 4 real seats, a real noble engine (Busso), and the possibility of upgrading it to the Q2 or Q4 of the Sportwagen.
The Audi S5? Apart from the V8 4.2, all other versions are to be avoided.
The 3 Series Coupe? Not great finish and derisory reliability!!!!
Mercedes CLK? Correct finish, but constant electronic bugs, gearbox problems and a far from reliable engine.
As much as the Brera and 159 yes it was a disaster, the 75, the 33 QV series 2, the GT to mention only the one you mentioned, had nothing to envy the competition to have had them.
Yes, you have to grow up and open those blinders and look with your own eyes and admit that all brands have problems, even Lexus now more than ever, and you also have to take responsibility and understand that maintenance is essential and that the slightest oversight will be paid for later with serious consequences.
Alfa Romeo produces models that make you want to accelerate, which wears out the components. Moreover, as with BMW (which is no more reliable), servicing is more expensive than that of a Clio 3, so some don't have the recommended follow-up. This has consequences for the reliability of used models, but for some unknown reason, Alfa Romeo is the brand rated highest by JD Power in the rankings published this summer. This may not be proof of perfect reliability, but at the very least it's quite satisfactory. Add a 5-year warranty (how many brands offer this?) and you've got three highly recommendable products (the late Giulietta also came with unlimited mileage).
And what's even more impressive is that Alfa Romeo is 3rd all sectors combined, 17 places ahead of BMW, but also ahead of Kia... It's also the brand with one of the highest levels of purchase satisfaction, ahead of Porsche (excuse the pun). The Stelvio was awarded first place for high-end compact SUVs, so I tend to think it will sell very well.
Component wear is still a Western view, because in Asia the same type of car, the wearing components lasted much longer (even if this has changed in recent times).
As for the rest, I couldn't agree more. But what we should have done was to make a Duetto on the MX5 RF with the Giulia's 2.0, because as far as bases go, you can't do any better.
The advantage of making less than 500 units is that they can use the same V6 as the Giulia, but with more power, because the standards are not at all the same.
For me, clear and clean! Impossible to compare these out-of-range models! Bugatti for the legendary and the ultra-rich who want to stand out from their VIP party aeropages, and Alfa Romeo, the pioneer of sports and racing cars! loyal to its customers and those to come! An Italian company of renown, but above all one that reflects the image of the innovative automotive engineering industry, to name but one of its domains, which at every moment turns the gaze (in corners) of the world's competitors! Alfa provides a livelihood for thousands of committed, nature-loving people in this industrial country, alongside the very attentive Germans! So here at home in France, too many people who are tied up until they choke should give up their positions but.... I've never owned an Alfa, although I've owned more than fifty cars to date, but anything's possible, I've loved them so much! Thank you Thank you all
