Recently launched on the market, theAlfa Romeo Junior is the talk of the town... even within the ranks of the Italian police force. After the Tonale, it's now the Biscione brand's new B-SUV that is making its official debut in the Polizia Locale fleets, with two noteworthy first deliveries to the municipalities of Acquaviva delle Fonti (Bari) and Boves (Cuneo).
A transformation by Bertazzoni Veicoli Speciali
Bertazzoni Veicoli Speciali, based in Collecchio near Parma, has the honor of designing these special versions. Already known for its emergency vehicle preparations, the company has adapted the Junior to the standards of its "Pi-Elle" range, dedicated to public forces and security services.

The models delivered are based on the 136 hp 1.2 Hybrid engine, an ideal choice for the urban and suburban missions of local police. The Junior's agile chassis and driving comfort are key assets for officers called upon to intervene quickly in the field.
A comprehensive and innovative service offering
Among the equipment installed is the "Folgore" signalling system, already present on the Tonale de la Polizia Locale, but here optimized: aerodynamic LEDs are integrated directly onto the hood - a first on an intervention vehicle - and accompanied by the "Bi-Side" system for optimum 360° visibility, particularly in night-time or complex situations.

The Junior also gets a low-impact aerodynamic roof light bar, a special "Blu Lord" paint scheme (borrowed from the Carabinieri) blue and silver for Acquaviva delle Fonti, white and green for Boves. To enhance passive visibility, reflective strips and specific door markings have been applied.

A sober yet functional interior
Inside, the dashboard remains identical to the standard model, but the trunk houses the "Mobility Kit", a modular unit with shelf, drawer and LED lighting, designed to facilitate roadside interventions, accident management and report writing.
