Alfa Romeo is preparing a new small SUV, and we already know its name!

Alfa Romeo has decided to diversify further into the SUV market, announcing the imminent arrival of a new model in its range. It's not a classic SUV, but a B-SUV that will complete the Alfa Romeo family, smaller than the Alfa Romeo Junior. Eagerly awaited, this new SUV will be christened the Alfa Romeo Adolfo and is already shaping up to be a future best-seller.

The Alfa Romeo Adolfo will measure 3.99 meters in length, making it one of the brand's most compact SUVs. It will be based on the Smart Car platform, a technology shared with the Fiat Grande Panda and Citroën e-C3, two models already produced at the same plant in Serbia. This common platform will enable the Adolfo to be both agile and economical, with reduced dimensions ideal for European cities where small cars are popular.

The name of this new SUV is a real mystery. While Alfa Romeo has yet to explain the origin of the name, it's likely that the brand will reveal more at the official presentation. In the meantime, the choice seems intriguing, but perhaps it has something to do with an Italian minister who holds the brand close to his heart?

When it comes to engines, the Alfa Romeo Adolfo doesn't do things by halves. It will be available with a 100 hp 1.2L hybrid engine, perfect for drivers looking to combine low fuel consumption and range. For those who prefer a more eco-friendly model, a 113 hp 100 % electric version will also be offered. This choice of engines reflects Alfa Romeo's determination to continue electrifying its range.

There are also rumours of a Q4 version of the Adolfo. It would appear that this off-road version will be equipped with an electric motor at the rear, a technology that could be shared with the Fiat Grande Panda 4×4. This model would thus offer all-wheel drive capabilities.

The Alfa Romeo Adolfo should be competitively priced in the B-SUV market. A starting price of €24,900 is expected for the hybrid version, while the all-electric version could be offered from €31,900. Prices that seem reasonable given the vehicle's features and the competition in the segment. The presentation date is scheduled for June 24, 2025.

  1. Another SUV! Why not, since that's almost all they sell.
A small SUV of less than 4 meters is okay, but what's really wrong are the engines shared with the e-C3 and the Grande Panda. An Alfa Romeo has to offer something better than such modest engines, already seen everywhere at Stellantis.

  6. April 1 , it still looks good ... there's only the length too close to the Junior but with 10 cm less: I just read that the Alfa Sud is precisely 3.89 m; it would have a little bomb with ....heu ......bon for the engines, it's screwed; at least worse and electric 156 hp .
Can't wait to see the new face of the Tonale, by the way.

April
