Fiat: recall campaign for its electric SUV

Stellantis has just announced a recall campaign involving 13,458 electric vehicles, spread across several of the group's brands. The model most affected is none other than the Fiat 600e. Here are the main points to bear in mind if you own, or plan to acquire, a copy of this model.

A recall motivated by regenerative braking software

The focal point of this recall campaign is related to a regenerative braking control software (called "regenerative braking"). This regenerative braking may not work properly. This may result in higher-than-normal energy consumption. From a safety point of view, Stellantis has not reported any immediate danger to users.

However, regenerative braking performance measurements must comply with current standards. The purpose of the recall is therefore to update the software on the vehicles concerned to ensure full compliance.
