Fiat: a fourth new model with "innovative solutions" in the pipeline

Fiat continues its strategy of renewing its range with regular new launches. Following the presentation of the Grande Panda in 2024, which went on sale in 2025, the Italian brand is already planning a series of new models for the coming years. One of the main announcements concerns the Fiat Fastback, due in 2026, followed by the Giga-Panda which is also due for release the same year.

But it's a fourth model, scheduled for presentation in 2027, which is already attracting interest. According to an interview with Fiat CEO Olivier François by El Espanol, this model could take up the original philosophy of the Fiat Multipla. Indeed, while new models like the Fastback and Giga-Panda will have a classic configuration of two seats in front and three in back, the fourth vehicle will be designed to "carry more people in unexpected ways" and could even incorporate a six-seat configuration, a reference to the historic Multipla, but with even more innovative solutions.

Olivier François insists that this model will not be a simple response to the trend for traditional SUVs like the Citroën C3 Aircross or Opel Frontera, which already offer three rows and up to 7 seats. What Fiat is aiming for is to reinvent the passenger transport experience with an unexpected model.

Although the details remain unclear, let's remember that, according to the roadmap unveiled a year agoFiat is expected to introduce new models such as a camping or a pickupas the official concepts suggest.

This future model could therefore be either a kind of van or a pickup allowing a seating configuration with 3 places in the front and 3 places in the rear. In any case, it will only be called Multipla under these conditions.
